Gusseted Poly Bags
A gusseted bag has its sides folded in, so it opens into a box shape and holds bulky things a flat bag can’t: parts, clothing, food, and the inside of a carton or drum. Packaging distributors sell them in dozens of sizes, and manufacturers use them as box liners on the packing line.
We make side-gusseted bags flat-packed or as perforated bags on a roll that tear off one at a time. Tell us the box or product they need to fit, and we will work out the width, gusset and length.

Which thickness?
1–1.5 mil for light goods and temporary storage, 2 mil for most parts, clothing and food, 3–4 mil for heavy or sharp items. See our mil and micron guide.
How ordering works
- Tell us the size, thickness, color and print. If you’re not sure, send a sample or a photo.
- Get a free sample from stock, or a custom sample made to your spec.
- Approve the sample. Lead time starts from this date: 4–6 weeks for a first order, 3–4 weeks for a repeat.
- We send production photos while your order is running.
- Inspect before loading. You or a third-party inspector can check the goods before the container is loaded.
Quality control. Our plants work to Japan’s JIS standard and ISO 9001 quality management. Every pack carries a lot number, so if anything is ever wrong, you send us a photo of the lot number and we can trace it back to the exact production run.
Private label. We print your brand on the product, pack it in your own box or carton design, and add your item codes, barcode labels and shipping marks. Reorder within 2 years and you don’t pay the printing plate fee again.
FAQ
How do I measure a gusseted bag?
Width (the front face) x gusset (the side, fully opened) x length. For a box liner, the width plus gusset should match the box’s length plus width, with enough extra length to fold over the top.
Can you make gusseted bags on a roll?
Yes. Perforated bags on a roll are faster on a packing line than flat-packed bags.
Can you print on gusseted bags?
Yes, on the front and back faces, up to 8 colors.
Are they food safe?
For food we use FDA-compliant resin (21 CFR 177.1520). Tell us when the bags will touch food.
What is the minimum order?
It depends on the size and print. Send us your spec and we will quote.
