Extended Core Stretch Film
On an extended core roll the core is longer than the film is wide, so a few inches of core stick out at each end. Those ends are the handles: you grip both sides and walk around the pallet. No dispenser to buy, lose or repair.
That makes extended core the easy choice for small warehouses, retail backrooms, moving companies and anyone who wraps a few pallets a week. The trade-off is control. With bare hands you can’t pull the film as tight as a dispenser with a brake can, so you use a little more film per pallet. If your customer wraps many pallets a day, flush core film on a dispenser or machine film will cost them less.

How ordering works
- Tell us the width, gauge, length, core extension and color. If you’re not sure, send a photo of the roll and its label.
- Get a free sample from stock, or a custom sample made to your spec.
- Approve the sample. Lead time starts from this date: 4–6 weeks for a first order, 3–4 weeks for a repeat.
- We send production photos while your order is running.
- Inspect before loading. You or a third-party inspector can check the goods before the container is loaded.
Quality control. Our plants work to Japan’s JIS standard and ISO 9001 quality management. Every pack carries a lot number, so if anything is ever wrong, you send us a photo of the lot number and we can trace it back to the exact production run.
Private label. We pack your rolls in your own carton design, with your item codes, barcode labels and shipping marks.
FAQ
How far does the core extend?
Usually a few inches past each end of the film, enough for a full hand grip. Some buyers want it on one side only. Tell us what your customers are used to and we will cut the core to match.
Is extended core film thinner than regular hand film?
Not by itself. Extended core is about the core, not the film. You can have 80 gauge on an extended core, or a thinner high-performance film if your loads are light.
Can I use extended core rolls on a dispenser?
Some dispensers take them, many don’t. If your customers already use dispensers, flush core rolls are the better fit.
Do you make narrow extended core rolls for bundling?
Yes. 3 to 6 inch rolls on an extended core are our mini stretch film.
What is the minimum order?
It depends on the size and packing. Send us your spec and we will quote.
