Machine Stretch Film
Machine stretch film is made for turntable, rotary-arm and robot pallet wrappers. The roll goes on the wrapper carriage, the film is pre-stretched between two rollers, and it goes onto the pallet much thinner and tighter than anyone could pull it by hand. Done right, one machine roll wraps many more pallets than the same weight of hand film.
What matters is how far your wrapper stretches the film. A wrapper set to 250% pre-stretch needs film that takes that stretch without breaking or necking down. Tell us your wrapper make and model, the pre-stretch setting and your loads, and we will match the film to the machine, not just the gauge on the label.

Which gauge?
80 gauge is the standard all-round machine film. 63–70 gauge works for light, even loads on a good pre-stretch wrapper. Go to 90–120 gauge for heavy, tall or sharp-edged loads. Our stretch film size guide has the full gauge-to-micron table.
How ordering works
- Tell us the size, thickness, color and print. If you’re not sure, send a sample or a photo.
- Get a free sample from stock, or a custom sample made to your spec.
- Approve the sample. Lead time starts from this date: 4–6 weeks for a first order, 3–4 weeks for a repeat.
- We send production photos while your order is running.
- Inspect before loading. You or a third-party inspector can check the goods before the container is loaded.
Quality control. Our plants work to Japan’s JIS standard and ISO 9001 quality management. Every pack carries a lot number, so if anything is ever wrong, you send us a photo of the lot number and we can trace it back to the exact production run.
Private label. We print your brand on the product, pack it in your own box or carton design, and add your item codes, barcode labels and shipping marks. Reorder within 2 years and you don’t pay the printing plate fee again.

What is the standard machine stretch film size?
20 in x 5,000 ft at 80 gauge on a 3 in core. Longer rolls cut roll changes on busy lines.
Will your film work on my wrapper?
Tell us the make, model and pre-stretch setting. We will send a sample roll to run on your machine before you order.
What is the difference between hand and machine film?
Machine film is made to be pre-stretched by the wrapper and comes on longer, heavier rolls. Hand film is easier to stretch by hand. See hand stretch film.
Can you make black or tinted machine film?
Yes. Black hides the goods on the pallet; a light blue tint makes the film easy to see.
What is the minimum order?
