Mini Stretch Film for Bundling
Mini stretch film (also sold as bundling film or banding film) is pallet wrap slit narrow, usually 3 to 6 inches wide, so one person can wrap small things fast. Shippers use it to tie cartons together, hold pipes and lumber in a bundle, keep doors and drawers shut on furniture, and close moving boxes without tape.
Most US rolls come on an extended core, so the core itself is the handle and you need no dispenser. We also make mini rolls on a flush core if your customers use a handle or a small dispenser.

Where they’re used
- Bundling cartons, tubes, pipes, profiles and lumber
- Moving and storage: furniture, mattresses, boxes
- Holding small loads on carts and hand trucks
- Color-coding orders, shifts or destinations in a warehouse
- Replacing strapping or twine on light bundles
- Private label rolls for hardware, moving supply and packaging distributors
Mini roll or full hand roll?
A mini roll is lighter and easier for one hand, and it reaches into gaps a full roll can’t. It won’t wrap a full pallet efficiently. For a pallet, go to 18 in hand film with a dispenser or 18 in extended core rolls.
How ordering works
- Tell us the width, gauge, length, core and color. If you’re not sure, send a photo of the roll and its label.
- Get a free sample from stock, or a custom sample made to your spec.
- Approve the sample. Lead time starts from this date: 4–6 weeks for a first order, 3–4 weeks for a repeat.
- We send production photos while your order is running.
- Inspect before loading. You or a third-party inspector can check the goods before the container is loaded.
Quality control. Our plants work to Japan’s JIS standard and ISO 9001 quality management. Every pack carries a lot number, so if anything is ever wrong, you send us a photo of the lot number and we can trace it back to the exact production run.
Private label. We pack mini rolls in your own carton design, with your item codes and barcode labels.
FAQ
What does 5 in x 1,000 ft, 80 gauge mean?
The roll is 5 inches wide and holds 1,000 feet of film that is 80 gauge (0.8 mil, about 20 µm) thick. That is the size most US distributors list as their standard bundling roll.
Is mini stretch film weaker than regular stretch film?
No. It is the same LLDPE film, just slit narrower. A narrow strip holds less per wrap, so you wrap a few more turns on heavy bundles.
Can you make colored mini rolls?
Yes. Clear and black are most common; red, blue, green and yellow are used to color-code. Tell us the color, or send a Pantone reference.
Extended core or flush core?
Extended core if your customers wrap by hand with no tool, which is how most US mini rolls are sold. Flush core if they use a handle or dispenser. We make both.
What is the minimum order?
It depends on the size, color and packing. Send us your spec and we will quote.
